Steve Murril is an Acute Care RN for Skagit Regional Health at Cascade Valley Hospital who has received many DAISY nominations over his short nursing career because he graduated from nursing school just one year ago. This quarter alone he received three nominations, but the service that led to receiving the DAISY Award this quarter is really moving. He was nominated by a patient who was very upset about her boyfriend showing up to visit her high. Steve sat down and talked with her and helped her realize that she is worth her sobriety and helped her to decide to end her relationship with him. She says, “Because of Steve’s caring and support, I am alive!” Thank you to Steve for his dedication to patients and congratulations for your continued success. We are happy to have you on our team!
