When he felt low Jade would sit beside him, talk and laugh with him, even after her shift had ended.
My father, unfortunately, suffered a stroke days after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Once stable, he was moved to ward 39 where he met Jade. Because of the pandemic we weren't initially allowed to visit which made things exceptionally difficult given his condition. It was never too much of a problem to call up for an update from Jade where she displayed genuine empathy and compassion throughout. My dad experienced very low days after being dealt these two huge blows in such a short period of time. When he felt low Jade would sit beside him, talk and laugh with him, even after her shift had ended. His recovery from the stroke was deemed remarkable and he solely puts this down to the care, spirit, and compassion received from Jade. She has given him a completely new mindset regarding his diagnosis. We cannot thank Jade enough for lifting my Dad’s mood when he felt his lowest, giving him the best drive as we approach the next chapter of his treatment.
