Even though I could not see William's smile under his mask, I knew he was smiling when I was able to achieve the next goal.
William is a DAISY Nurse. His personality and caring spirit helped me make progress towards my recovery. Upon my arrival to Marianjoy, I was fully dependent on others for all aspects of my daily living. Prior to that, I was an avid cyclist, weightlifter, and played classical piano. William is always very easy to talk to and a great listener. His calm demeanor and daily words of encouragement are greatly appreciated and helped in my recovery. He encouraged me to tie my gait belt to the foot of my bed so that I could pull myself up to a seated position with my good arm and stretch out my back without hurting my fixator leg. How very creative! His attention to detail and confidence regarding care for my wound vac and fixator is greatly appreciated. Encouraging me with small daily gains grew into larger gains. Even though I could not see his smile under his mask, I knew he was smiling when I was able to achieve the next goal. Thank you for being a truly amazing and compassionate nurse who helped me reach my goals for recovery.
