Bruce is very proactive and conscientious. I got here Friday afternoon. I feel Bruce saved my life. I was in for a severe recurring bowel blockage. I had an NG tube to drain and pump my stomach contents. I was in great pain and distended all night Friday night. The nurse tried to flush once I believe. I was given Morphine every 2 hours and it kept being painful and distended.
Bruce came on duty Saturday morning and his first question was, “Have you been wearing the leg pressure things?” I did not even know they were there. He tried to flush the NG tube and it was still blocked so he persisted and tried another way. Immediately 2 canisters were filled within 30 minutes. No more pain and did not need any more Morphine. I feel if for some reason he was late for work and the night shift was held over, something very bad would happen to my intestines. Bruce also went out of his way and printed out educational material for my dietary needs. He also has a nice technique on how to change a gown with privacy for the female patient. Much appreciated.
