I knew when I needed help Robin was there for me like I would hope to be to another.
Nurse Robin was an exceptional part of my recovery during my post-operative tenure at St. Thomas. She was both not only attentive to needs and concerns that I shared, but she was intuitive to those I wasn't able to adequately communicate, and those turned out to be some of the most important to my swift and pleasant recovery. She was able to anticipate my needs before I could even know of them and had solutions available to me, which helped me feel involved in my own care and allowed me some breathing room to make important decisions to benefit myself and my family. Most nurses are kind and personable to speak with, and Nurse Robin is no exception, but she follows with kind action and consistent work. I knew when I needed help she was there for me like I would hope to be to another. If too many more were like her we might have more trouble keeping people out of the hospital! Nurse Robin never let me feel like a burden and made it clear she cared enough for me to go to great personal and professional lengths to see I received exceptional care as both a patient and a human being. I felt respected and for that, I valued the time I had with Nurse Robin and how she seemed to subtly invigorate everyone around her to be better than they were a moment ago. Including myself. My life is enriched in having known her for the short, short time I have. I hope to see her again soon (albeit under different circumstances!). Thank you, Nurse Robin. For all you helped and never knew you did, thank you.
