Jaime sets an exemplary model for providing skilled nursing care in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner that empowers families and allows them to feel heard. My daughter's hospitalization was very stressful, as you may imagine, but to make matters worse, our concerns were being brushed aside without a second thought. It seemed as if no one was truly listening, and this left the help my daughter desperately needed in jeopardy. We felt completely hopeless and without an advocate for my daughter's care. This all changed when we met my daughter's nurse on the 7th floor, Jaime. I cannot say enough good things about her. I opened up to her about my concerns. She was an incredible listener, very supportive, and a fierce advocate. Immediately she took action to address our concerns and ensure we not only felt heard but that we felt confident with the plan of care we received. She went above and beyond to help us out during an incredibly difficult time, and I will be forever grateful for her. She is an incredible asset to her team and truly deserves some recognition. Words are not enough to thank her for all she has done for our family. Her advocacy will not be forgotten. Days later, we got test results that confirmed our concerns, the very concerns that had been dismissed. I am so thankful Jaime did not judge our concerns but instead became our ally and advocate. We could not be more thankful that people like Jaime are out there, to infuse hope and light into dark and desperate situations.
