Andrea worked tirelessly and patiently to take any challenge with my mom’s care and find solutions for them.
My mom, as well as us kids, were blessed to have Andrea as our Hospice Nurse. I say “OURS” because she not only took care of our mom, but she also took care of my sister and me who were her primary caregivers. There’s not any “one” experience that makes me nominate Andrea There are 15 months of experiences where my mom benefited from having Andrea as her nurse. It’s clear that being a Hospice nurse is Andrea’s calling. Nobody puts into their job all that Andrea does unless they have a true passion for it! She immediately developed a special bond with my mom. She made my mom’s journey more bearable by being her nurse. She made her laugh when she didn’t feel like laughing. She gained her trust early on by not only taking care of her physically, but spiritually, socially, and emotionally as well.

Andrea worked tirelessly and patiently to take any challenge with my mom’s care and find solutions for them. She was in constant communication with me. As soon as my mom had changes happen, Andrea took the time to call me after each visit and fill me in as well as answer my questions to the best of her ability. She made it clear to me she wanted me to reach out to her if and whenever I needed to. Together we gave my mom the care she deserved. Andrea is compassionate, professional, caring, supportive, and comforting. She gives OSF Hospice many reasons to be proud to have her on their staff.
