Erin printed out stories and information about rock climbing to help encourage him in his recovery.
Our son was hospitalized for an eating disorder. Erin was his nurse for two days during his five-day stay. All it took was those two days to make a difference. She went out of her way to engage with him. He loves all things rock climbing. She printed out stories and information about rock climbing to help encourage him in his recovery. Recently he wrote the following letter to Erin to let her know how she impacted his recovery:
Dear Erin, Hi!
It's C from the hospital. I am doing much better now and have gone on many great adventures. I've been climbing for a while now and I'm getting better every day. Over Spring Break my family and I went to Utah! It was super fun! I got to climb all the time and went on these huge walls. I wish I could live there and explore more. I have so many places I want to go and see and can't wait for the future. So thank you for helping me and giving me a future to look forward to. You are the best nurse ever and I hope you continue to help people find their way.
