Nick is breath of fresh air. He always has a smile for you and a kind word.
I found everyone that attended to me while I was recently a patient at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital to be professional, caring, and compassionate. Nicholas Kowalski stands out to me as an extraordinary example of what being a nurse personifies. I was able to observe him interacting with other staff as well as the man in the other bed in my room, who was there for part of my stay. There was that indefinable something in his demeanor and way of speaking with me that says he has a true calling to be a nurse. He shows that to patients and staff alike. No matter what else is happening at the time, you are the most important person in the world to him.

Nick was outstanding in the care and effort he established during my stay and taking care of my needs. As busy as the hospital is he went above and beyond to do his job as best he could.

I was very fortunate to have Nick as my nurse. Not only did he explain everything as he was doing it but also explained why. When it came time for my discharge with a PICC line, he took the time to go over everything step by step-letting me repeat it so I’d feel more comfortable doing it on my own.
