Laura proved she is compassionate about her position. Her confidence and knowledge were inspirational.
No matter what the circumstances are when visiting the hospital, a patient may feel a sense of stress, constant worry, nervousness, and sometimes a feeling of overall panic. For me, I felt all of this including being scared and embarrassed because of the vulnerability a woman’s body is put through after birth. However, l after my Caesarean Surgery, Laura went above and beyond to not only make me feel comfortable in the hospital, but she helped me realize all those emotions were okay to feel because it was normal. Pregnancy, babies, and being a woman are tough, but we are strong. She reminded me of that. She helped me embrace and overcome my fears. She made me feel comfortable, and she gave me peace of mind. When I was nervous, she reassured me and educated me in a delicate and kind manner. When I was stressed out about anything, she helped me feel relaxed and comfortable. When I was worried about my new baby or my healing process, she insisted everything was going to be okay and reassured me that I was well taken care of with compassion and education. Laura went above and beyond to make me feel valued and appreciated as a patient. She made me feel less embarrassed about my own body, she helped me learn to own it. Laura proved she is compassionate about her position. Her confidence and knowledge were inspirational. She was kind, and her positivity was incredible. She made my healing process, and the birth of my baby so much more special. She made me feel valued, which is what any patient/customer needs at this moment in their life. Laura is an extraordinary and exceptional Labor and Delivery Nurse, she deserves all the recognition possible.
