Heidi's empathic and compassionate attitude makes her an amazing nurse and person.
Heidi has worked at Anne Arundel for over 30 years. She is dedicated to giving her patients the best possible care. I have never seen a nurse care as much as her or work as hard as she does to ensure that her patients are well cared for and given the utmost attention. Heidi exhibits all the qualities of a DAISY Nurse. She takes her time to get to know all her patients and goes above and beyond to give them the best possible care. Countless times I have seen her laughing and joking around with patients making sure they feel like a part of the ACE family. Following behind her as another nurse I always know her patients are well cared for and they always praise her saying how wonderful she is.

Nursing is her calling, I have never met a more dedicated, caring, or clinically competent nurse. She has worked at Anne Arundel Medical Center for 30+ years, and a nurse for 40+ years and is truly an example of what an AAMC nurse should be and exemplifies what it means to be a nurse. She always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She has a great sense of teamwork and always goes room to room with her techs in order to reduce the number of interruptions the patients at night experience, which is very important in the elderly population at reducing delirium. I often hear her sharing her personal life stories with patients who may be going through a rough time or something similar that she has experienced in order to make them feel more understood. Her empathic and compassionate attitude makes her an amazing nurse and person, ACE is truly blessed to have her as a nurse as well as the entire hospital. If my loved ones ever needed to be in the hospital she is the nurse I would want caring for my family. Heidi has a love for nursing and compassion for her patients.
