Sophie worked tirelessly to make sure my husband and I felt comfortable taking our baby home and she helped make the discharge process as smooth as possible.
Being separated from our baby while she was in the ICN was so incredibly difficult for me and my husband. On her second day that all changed when Sophie was assigned as her nurse. Sophie was life-changing for us. The way she introduced herself, explained our baby’s plan for the day and how she did overnight, and actually asked how I was doing and immediately made me feel at ease. I could tell right away she truly cared about me and our baby. Throughout the stay, Sophie has been constantly encouraging me and reassuring me that not only was our baby improving, but I’m also doing everything right. She makes an effort to validate my feelings and listen to my concerns and make sure we’re incorporating my desire to breastfeed into the plan. Sophie worked tirelessly to make sure my husband and I felt comfortable taking our baby home and she helped make the discharge process as smooth as possible. I’m a nurse myself and I can confidently say Sophie is one of the best nurses I’ve ever worked with. We will always remember Sophie for taking such good care of our new family.
