I have memories of Jeanette being at my bedside holding my hand and being with me through the tears, encouraging and validating me.
Jeanette has been my nurse for many hospital admissions throughout my years at UCSF Children’s Hospital and she is a Superhero. I have memories of Jeanette being at my bedside holding my hand and being with me through the tears, encouraging and validating me. I value the times that she would advocate for my care when my mom and I shared concerns with her. Whenever I found out I got her assigned to me I would text my mom right away to let her know because it would give her rest knowing that I had an extra amazing nurse by my side that night. Now that I am 21, I am transitioning to an adult hospital and I won't be able to have Jeanette as my nurse again, but I will keep the memories of laughter and smiles. Jeanette has been a bright light in my hospitalizations. I am so thankful for Superhero Jeanette!
