What distinguishes nurse Jehan was her answer to all my questions before going out.
During my stay, I received distinguished care from all the medical team, especially the nursing staff. On the day of my discharge from the hospital, I was scheduled to do a lymph node biopsy two days after discharge. This requires conducting some laboratory tests and examining the nasal swab for the COVID-19 PCR test, in addition to an appointment for the anesthesia clinic to perform the necessary evaluation. Those preparations would require another visit to the hospital. Knowing that another visit will increase my suffering due to traveling a long distance and increasing the back pain I already had, I was evaluated by nurse Jehan from the discharge planning office. She was very positive and helpful. She was listening attentively, writing down all my needs. She explain everything that was going on and keep me up to date on everything.
Jehan facilitated my discharge process by coordinating with her colleagues from the medical team to make all necessary preparations for the biopsy before leaving the room so that I would not come again the next day. What distinguishes nurse Jehan was her answer to all my questions before going out. Jehan was keen to avoid any additional suffering by coordinating all procedures. She truly enjoyed what she was doing and truly cared for the patient. Doing her job very well, very alert about everything. Indeed, I was discharged from the hospital peacefully and happily. I firmly believe that nurse Jehan touched my real needs at that moment with her excellent care and her humanitarian sense, which was very clear. I am writing this story because of my deep belief that a nurse like Jehan deserves the DAISY Award since, with her presence, I felt that I was in safe hands. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
