I knew Jamie had my best interests and wellbeing as top priorities.
All my nurses were wonderful! Jamie went above and beyond her nursing duties though. I felt like I was being taken care of by my best friend or sister. Jamie was more than a face that came in to give me my medications or change my bedsheets. She stayed and listened to my concerns and shared personal experiences that were helpful and relevant to my situation. Jamie also has a great sense of humor and was especially easy to talk to. I truly think she treats all her patients with the utmost respect and acts as though they are one of her close friends or family members.
I knew Jamie had my best interests and wellbeing as top priorities. I really cannot stress enough that it felt like my best friend or sister was there with me. And when you are in the hospital alone with a brand new baby, who else would you want taking care of you. Thank you to all the staff who helped take care of us during our stay. And a very special thank you to Jamie! Jamie went above and beyond any expectation I could ever have for a nurse. Throughout my 40 hours of labor that eventually ended in a C-Section, Jamie made sure my comfort as well as keeping me updated was her highest priority. She took time during her time off to check on me and make sure my pain was okay and that I got an epidural and was okay. She put my mind at ease about a C-Section, took amazing care of my sweet daughter, and made sure my husband felt comfortable and was able to enjoy welcoming our daughter even in the chaos.
Jamie made us feel like family, not patients. Her bedside manner, compassion, and ability to make new scared moms feel in control is incomparable. I will never be able to say enough great things about Jamie and our experience with her! I would love nothing more than to see her get half of the recognition she deserves! Jamie, thank you for making my journey into motherhood amazing, and taking such good care of my little family! From the moment Jamie’s shift started, she did everything to make my labor as comfortable as possible. I opted to not have any form of pain medication and she made me feel calm and in control throughout the labor process. Not only did she reassure me that I was doing amazing, and everything was okay, she ended up having to deliver my baby because the doctor did not make it in time. Along with the help of others, Jamie was able to take over and safely deliver my daughter.
