I guess the best way to put it is that she talks to me just as a person and not as a patient. I have love in my heart for Dawn for all she has done for me.
There are not enough good words to say about Dawn. To say she is awesome, great, sweet is just not enough. She has helped me in ways I thought no one else would. She is the most caring person I believe I have ever met. She truly cares about each patient on this unit and will go out of her way to help any of us. She is someone I feel comfortable talking to about anything. She has the ability in my opinion to calm people down and to let them know that things will get better. I guess the best way to put it is that she talks to me just as a person and not as a patient. I have love in my heart for Dawn for all she has done for me. I'm the kind of guy who hates having stubble on my face and she made sure I had the chance to use an electric shaver. Knowing that it was actually affecting the way I felt, she made sure I got to. Small things like that make me feel "human" again. I will never be able to thank her enough.
