Yvette was very caring and always went out of her way.
We are honored to present the late Yvette Batiste, RN as the 1st Quarter 2021 DAISY Award Honoree. Yvette Batiste began her nursing career at HCA Mainland in 2015 as a Post-Operative nurse on the Post Op unit. She quickly developed into the one her colleagues depended on and became the backbone of the team. Her caring nature prompted many recognitions from her patients and colleagues. Yvette’s nomination story:
“Yvette was very caring and always went out of her way. She felt my pain; she made me feel like my needs were always attended to. I will always come back to Mainland because she made me feel like family. Her smile and attitude always brightened my day. I can’t say enough about her.”
We will miss Yvette’s actions and the compassionate care she provided to all of her patients. She honored the meaning behind the DAISY Foundation and was always a representative of our own Standards of Behavior- Integrity, Teamwork, Respect, Ownership, Communication, and Safety!
