Chandler Regional is a great hospital. The medical staff in the Emergency Room were nice but firm. They soon found out how afraid I am about needles. I am terrified of them and after the first ten minutes, they knew. When I was moved to another unit, I had a few nurses that were very good at their job.

Then along came Brenda. She is different. She has gone above and beyond the title of nurse. Her compassion for me was just like I was being taken care of by 100 nurses from heaven all combined into Brenda. I felt like I wasn’t just an armband read by a machine, which felt great. These are just a few items that she did for me among many more. She knew how important it was for me to give blood but after being poked over 11 times just to move my IV, I couldn’t take it anymore. Brenda came and had a motherly talk with me to calm me down and it worked. I also got up and walked to the bathroom and by the time I returned, I had new sheets, pillowcases, and blankets waiting for me. This is why she is my HRN (Hero Registered Nurse).
