Maryanne has helped and gone above and beyond. When I was being evaluated for heart surgery in Honolulu, the doctor had indicated that I needed surgery immediately. The paperwork was not in place so Queens Medical could not do the surgery without it. When my partner called the VA, they indicated that they never gave immediate approval. My partner called Maryanne in tears and explained the situation and what had been said by the person she spoke with. Maryanne went to work on the issue and was able to facilitate getting the approval and called us back within a couple of hours. This is only one instance of many.

Any time I have an issue or can't get an answer, I call and leave a message. She will find out the answer or connect me to the person we need to speak with. She is the embodiment of a true nurse and holds the highest standard of her talents. She is kind, caring, skilled, and efficient, a "can do" professional in her work. She is passionate about caring for veterans. Not often do you find anyone so engaged in their profession. She has incredible follow-through and follow-up. She sets an example for compassionate care and goes above and beyond. If not for her assistance in getting the authorization for what turned out to be multiple heart procedures, I don't believe I would be alive today.
