Kerrie was the nurse who took care of my husband during his emergency heart cath. She came to get him, and explained everything to us on our way to the cath lab, assuring me they were going to take great care of him, as they did. She kept me informed every few minutes of the procedure: when they were starting, what they were finding, how he was doing, and also when finished. I am sure this is normal procedure for them, but she showed compassion and kindness to me during a scary time when I was alone waiting. This is something I will never forget. After the procedure, she came and got me to see my husband, and was telling me how great he did as she took us back to the room. She helped him get back in bed and get settled making sure he was comfortable and didn't need anything before she left the room. She was so kind and understanding. My husband was very emotional before and after, and she took time with him and reassured him during this whole process. I am so glad there are staff at MRHC like Kerrie, to take care of patients. She is in it for all the right reasons, and she definitely should be recognized. There is no doubt she is doing what she was called to do!
