Olivia Julian is truly an extraordinary nurse going the extra mile for all her patients and family members. She takes the time to listen, educate, and communicate important information. Her dedication to her patients has earned her the August 2021 GCMC DAISY Award.

Ms. Julian stated, “Nursing is a challenging yet rewarding career and I wanted to have a job that was fulfilling and allows me to help other people.” After obtaining her BSN in 2020 she accepted a job in the Geisinger Community Medical Center Progressive Care Unit, choosing to stay in the area close to her family but also to give back to her community. "My nursing career thus far has been extremely interesting and has taught me so much in such a short period of time. My unit is awesome, everyone is so helpful and you're constantly learning new things every day, which I love! I truly am honored to work in the PCU, and my patients continue to motivate me to be the best person for them and myself."
