Bella took a genuine interest in both of us, and she listened to all of my concerns and input regarding my health and treatment, which is extremely important to me.
Bella went above and way beyond for me during my stay at LRH. She was extremely friendly and personable, going out of her way to make my girlfriend, who was staying with me, feel special and comfortable. She took a genuine interest in both of us, and she listened to all of my concerns and input regarding my health and treatment, which is extremely important to me. On top of that, she never hesitated to answer questions, retrieve comfort items, and was exceedingly patient with us. She seemed genuinely happy that I was feeling better. She was super diligent. She also went out of her way to find seasoning for my food, which she didn’t have to do.

After a few days of being in the hospital, here comes Bella walking into the room going over my information with the night nurse. Through her mask, she started by smiling and saying her name like there were no filters. This wasn't just a job for her, it was an extra act of caring and concern of our well being for me. She told me “I'll be back after I get report.” And yep no time went by, she was here all twinkled eyes and ready to help us. She gave me my medication, explained each one without me even asking, and at the same time asked me how I was feeling and if had any questions about me being here. Asked if I needed anything? Asked about my family and if I needed help with anything? Told me if you need me, I am a button away. Wow, as scared and uncomfortable as I had been, God sent me an Angel! She was concerned about my well-being. I wasn't just another patient. My children had to call up at the nurses' station a few times and spoke with her and she was as kind and informational as could be.

Nurses are heroes regardless, especially now with the COVID situation! But when you are emotional, scared, have anxiety and panic attacks, me being over all frustrated and upset and had hard times with other nurses knowing they reported what you did and at my age and just wanting to give up and go home because of how you feel. Here comes Bella, a nurse with a friendly face and voice... knowing she's stressed with her duties but doesn't show a thing except for compassion and I'm your nurse I'm going to take care of "You" and that’s what she did. I feel there are so many good nurses but sometimes to see just the simplest nurse showing compassion it's important to shine a light on them for them never to be forgotten of how CARING they are! So please make sure Bella receives a THANK YOU for showing me care during my stay as well as during the COVID outbreak. You are a hero to me and I'm sure many patients appreciate your kind ways, so for all of them as well again thank you, Bella, may God keep you and all the nurses safe!
