It is very obvious that she truly cares about the success of her students. Beth was kind, understanding, showed patience, and was encouraging.
Beth Carter has been a nurse for 47 years. Beth’s interests include clinical and management experiences in the operating room, cardiac catheterization lab & interventional care, oncology specialization, and case management. She is a senior manager at her hospital mentoring and supporting nurses there. Beth has described her true calling and passion as sharing her love of nursing through teaching, mentoring, and inspiring nurses. Beth states “I love helping and encouraging students to achieve their dreams and realize their career opportunities by obtaining a BSN and considering a graduate degree!”

Beth’s students consistently describe her as caring, passionate, always offering help, quick to respond, awesome, patient, kind, and encouraging, and supportive. One student comment was, “My instructor was my favorite since I started at Chamberlain University, she ALWAYS made herself available. She was kind, understanding, showed patience, and was encouraging. I am proud to know there are instructors in life who really enjoy teaching and love their job. I have not been in school since the late '90s and this is a huge learning curve for me. Technology has advanced and instructors like Professor Carter will motivate and inspire the next generation to continue to succeed in life. This is the first survey I have ever written a comment on but she is beyond words.”

And another student commented, “Dr. Carter has been absolutely amazing. It is very obvious that she truly cares about the success of her students. Her feedback is extremely timely and when I had a question about an assignment, she got back to me immediately. There aren't enough kind words to praise her as a professor!”

These comments are common for Beth to receive from her students and she definitely inspires her students’ interest in evidence-based practice toward improved patient safety and quality of care.
