As a patient receiving care during a recent hospital stay on Tower 7, my experience was of memorable note because of the kind and compassionate care I received. During this time I was incredibly ill and my apprehension soared even greater because of the changes the COVID-19 pandemic had imposed on the institution's rule. I was alone with no family members nor friends and I was very anxious. However, Nurse Green made all the difference as she help to allay my fears and anxiety. I commend Nurse Green because she perceived my apprehensions and nightly she would come to my room and chat. She would allow me to ask questions and then offer responses as she reviewed my chart. When I could comprehend the various test or lab values, she would take time to explain my values and what the norms should be. My perception of the unknown was more manageable because of Nurse Green's professional demeanor. Always pleasant and patient, I was very impressed with her ability to convey caring...she would always seek to assure that my concerns were verbalized.

Daily I came to expect Nurse Green because her presence gave me hope! Sometimes during my day, I would catch myself fretting, and then I would think about Nurse Green. I am very thankful for the care received in the St. Luke's CHI institution and for professionals such as Pamelar Green, RN. My confidence was positively influenced because of the care that I received during my stay. I experienced 3 C's of compassion, caring, and courtesy with quality.
