My mum was not eating or drinking when admitted and she wouldn't take anything from us. Amelia has the magic touch - she sat with mum and in a caring but stern manner, got mum to take a drink. She suggested we bring in crumpets and strawberries which started her eating again. Mum is now having 3 meals a day and we are all very grateful to Amelia. I liked Amelia's approach as she made me feel that mum was in safe hands when we were not there. She treated mum like she was her mum which made a big difference. Amelia shared with me the notes from the consultant. She took her time to explain what had been said and to answer questions we had. Despite her busy schedule she never seemed rushed and gave us the time we needed. I wouldn’t have known she was newly qualified.
