Katie went above and beyond to help my family and me. I came in by ambulance and had a C-section to deliver my stillborn son. She was there comforting me the whole time knowing I was so scared. She told me everything was going to be okay. I ended up in the ICU due to hemorrhaging. She would check on me, be there for me to talk to and also my family. Katie made me keepsake bracelets with my son’s name; foot and hand stones; different poems with his hand and footprints on them; and also a painting. Those meant the world to me. She was there for my family when I couldn’t be helping them. Also, every time I came back to Winchester Medical she would check on me, making sure I was okay and be there for me to talk to even though I wasn’t in labor and delivery. She stayed after her shift to make sure I was okay before she went home. There are too many things she has done to list just one. Katie is so loving, caring, and amazing at what she does! This is the first time ever in a hospital I’ve had a nurse like Katie who made me feel safe, and even though my entire world was burning down she was a bright light.
