As my dad’s heart was going into AFib, Teresa stayed calm the whole time telling my dad that he was going to be ok.
Teresa was a nurse that my wife and I thanked God for. She made 12 days in the ICU bearable with her knowledge, compassion, sincerity, and just good ol’ sweetness. Always asking my wife and me if we were “OK” and if we needed anything. She has the ability and knowledge to take control of the room, but in doing so, is extremely compassionate at the same time.
Every night, she would ask me how my day was and would assure me that she would make my night better, so my next day would be better. She constantly made sure I was bathed and feeling the best I could. She was also never too proud or stubborn to accept my wife’s offer to help with whatever needed to be done, but always saying, “You don’t have to, but if you’d like to that would be great,” followed by numerous “Thank You’s.” We should be the ones “Thanking” this wonderful, professional nurse!

Teresa helped my dad so much. As my dad’s heart was going into AFib, Teresa stayed calm the whole time telling my dad that he was going to be ok. My dad reached for her hand with so much fear in his eyes. She held his hand for a minute. She said, "You are OK, try to stay calm." I saw my dad’s fear calm down a lot. She was so awesome to help my dad. I could truly say she cares and it’s not just her job. I was alone with my dad that night. Teresa got my dad stable. I went out of the room to take a minute to breathe. Teresa came into the hall just to make sure I was OK. That helped me so much. Thank you, Teresa!
