Donna has gone above and beyond her call of duty as a nurse to help me. She was one of the first nurses I met on the unit, and she welcomed me with open arms and helped me feel comfortable here. But, the reason I am nominating her is that she is the reason I was able to receive my second COVID vaccine.

My 2nd shot was scheduled during my hospital stay on the unit; so I was unable to attend the appointment. She knew how important that shot was to me, and she worked tirelessly until she figured out a way to get one for me. She worked alongside a pharmacist over the course of a couple of days to make it happen…and it did! I was able to officially receive my 2nd COVID vaccine and give my unborn baby the antibodies because of the hard work, dedication, and determination Donna put forth in this situation. There aren’t enough words to describe how thankful I am for her, and I believe that she is the perfect candidate for a DAISY Award. Thank you, Donna, for never giving up. I appreciate you more than you know.
