Stephanie absolutely blows me away with her positive attitude, willingness to help, and general persona.
Stephanie is the type to human being I can only hope to aspire to become. I want to grow up to be Stephanie Johnson. Not only is she kind, compassionate, and personable to boot, she is one of the hardest working and most flexible employees I have ever had the joy to work with. To call her an absolute Rockstar doesn't quite cover how truly amazing she is. As a nurse intern, she made herself available on extra shifts and helped the night shift with phlebotomy and lab draws. This was invaluable as many nurses had difficulty juggling the needs of their patients as well as obtaining labs for their difficult-to-stick patients.
She then moved into the nurse residency where she consistently performed at an extremely high level. She exceeded expectations in every aspect of the residency and maintained that pace and high level of performance even amid constantly changing factors and a Covid surge. When it was offered for nurse interns to pick up extra shifts to help with the needs of the hospital she was the first of my residents to volunteer. She also consistently put the needs of the facility and her patients above her own.
Consistently, when picking up we would ask if she had a preferred unit to be placed on. Without fail her answer was always "wherever the greatest need is". This type of dedication is rarely seen in this day and age and should be applauded. I would shout it from the rooftops if only our hospital wasn't quite so tall heights and all that. Stephanie is the type of person we should all strive to be; the type of employee I would want to clone and the co-worker I do a happy dance to see she is on shift with me.
I've always been a firm believer that your day is made or broken by those around you and Stephanie absolutely blows me away with her positive attitude, willingness to help, and general persona. It has been a true pleasure to get to know her over these last few months and I know she has truly amazing things in her future!
