Please accept this donation as a token of our gratitude for the care my husband received at the UofL Health Medical Center East campus. We would like to make this donation in honor of August King, the nurse who cared for him. We arrived at the ER and were seen after a very little wait. August not only provided exceptional care during his visit but also ensured we fully understood everything before leaving. Her calming, yet informative presence brought us great relief.

In less than 4 hours we were leaving with the next steps. After reading a recent "Chronicle of Philanthropy" article on the needs of employee assistance funds, particularly in medical care, we decided to have this gift allocated to the employee relief fund. We know this donation isn't much, but we hope it will be helpful for someone.
