Alicia was nominated by the two daughters who each had their mother in the hospital under Alicia’s care. They both recognized Alicia’s supportive and compassionate care. One described Alicia as “the most conscientious nurse” and told the story of Alicia going “all-out” to care for her mother when she started to have respiratory difficulty.

A daughter of another patient began her letter “My dear favorite nurse Alicia Morgan.” She went on to praise the care Alicia gave her 99-year-old mother. She wrote, “I wish to thank you and with an extra special thank you from my heart for your beautiful gentle strength and God-given talents for saving her life. I will be forever grateful to you. I wanted to let you know R gained her angel wings but your wonderful help, respect, courage, will never be forgotten. My family was able to enjoy momma a few more weeks. I am thankful for the honor to have met you and will always remember your fight for R. Thanks for your love and care of momma."
