We were so so lucky to have Shastika as our nurse. I thank God every day for her never-ending compassion. We flew from Alaska for a Sugarbaker surgery for my husband. Shastika was the light in the dark, the shiny bright star that helped lead us home. If you have not met this beautiful soul, you really should. Her love is so bright. She truly cares about her patients. I did not just see it with us but also watched her with other patients and co-workers.

When there were days of tears and fears, Shastika’s compassion and instant encouragement kept me calm and she helped me remain positive and kept me from falling apart at the seams. She is so positive and loving. She kept a smile on my husband’s face during difficult times. There are so many things I can say. Sutter Medical has a diamond on the 5th floor and so many are going to be blessed to have her. They don’t know how lucky they are yet. Thank you, Shastika, from the bottom of our hearts. The minute I met you, I knew how special you are. The world is so lucky to have you in it. Thank you so much for being part of my husband’s life.
