Alita is an extraordinary person. She puts all her effort, skills and patience into taking care of the patients under her care, even the unruly patients. I witnessed Alita taking care of a patient who needed her undivided attention. She was very attentive and understanding of the patient care, condition, mental disposition, and high risk for falls. Alita took care of this patient while she was also looking often on her other patients. If this was any other nurse, this would have been a 1:1 sitter. But Alita did it, she put the patient in a wheelchair, talked, and stayed with the patient as much as she could. I really admire her persistence and patience in working with this type of patient. She is such an asset for the hospital and all the units she has worked on while being here at Northridge Hospital. Alita is a very positive person and brings joy to the unit she is working on.
