Stacy is strong, wise, and caring. She has a way with patients.
Besides her being very professional, her compassion goes a long way for every patient she encounters on a daily basis. When I first got here I was very depressed and suicidal. She helped me see the strength in me I thought I didn't have. And in my healing process, she was the main ingredient. She also was very good at getting me my first cup of coffee to start the day. And in the months, I come to realize she is for real!

My Nurse "Saved my Life" While I was hospitalized Stacy came in to give me my medication, I asked Stacy about a medicine that I was taking at home for 5 years, which was for high blood pressure. Stacy took her time to read me all my vitals since I was admitted; she indicated that I did not show any signs of having hypertension in fact it was on the lower side if anything. Stacy educated me about what side effects this med would have on me. If Stacy wouldn't have told me about this I would have gone back to take it, I feel great now. So Thank you to Ms. Stacy, you are truly a DAISY.

My reason for recommending Stacy Berry for this award:

1. Professionalism. Stacy approached me by first identifying herself. She asked me my name and then explained why she was here.

2. Patience. Two days with numerous nurses trying to get an I.V. in my arm for a C.T Scan, not only was she successful but her routine was different. She was meticulous with using her fingers up and down arms trying to find a vein. With two unsuccessful attempts, she didn't leave, she was determined that she was going to get in the I.V.

3. Patient Care. In my opinion patient care is not all about just service to an individual, it also involves interaction with the patient - how was your day, how are you feeling, did you sleep well last night, etc. She did not only articulate intelligently, but her mannerism was also on point.

In conclusion, we should all keep our egos in check. All of us have defects of character. Whenever you let moments, minutes, hours consume your attitude will show your work ethic. However, I have not seen any of that on display during my hospitalization. In my opinion, Montefiore (Einstein) has done an outstanding job on training.

Stacy is strong, wise, and caring. She has a way with patients. I saw her experience instantly and her professionalism was outstanding. Her patient care and ability to communicate with challenging patients was a site to see. I had an embarrassing moment and she dashed in and helped me, keeping things quiet and considering my feelings. Her kindness and understanding were incredible. In less than 5 minutes she helped me as if nothing happened and eased me. She shows signs of a leader, mentor, and example of what an amazing nurse should be. Once again Montefiore(Einstein) has another great kind. Stacy has assisted me in ways I have never had a nurse take her time to do.
