Denise is what I like to call a one-of-a-kind nurse, she is comforting, funny, entertaining, loving, and caring. When she steps in to be charge nurse she is an awesome leader. She is a well-rounded nurse and person. She has no problem lending a helping hand not only to staff but to patients and guests. Denise is a very straightforward nurse, she tells it straight and patients and employees love her.

I remember when a man came into the ER and he walked to the front window while she was in flow and said, "Hi Ms. Denise" and she knew who he was because he has been here on multiple occasions for being sick. She knew he didn't want to check in but only wanted something to eat and something to drink. Right when he said, "Hi, I was wondering if I could get some food and a ginger ale" she told him to hold on that she would get something for him. A couple of minutes later she walked out with dinner, something to drink, and a pair of fresh socks. He was so grateful, he thanked her numerous times before leaving.

She does so much for the young ladies in her community like collecting little bags to place sanitary napkins, little bottles of lotion, Midol, panty liners, and is very encouraging to the young women around her. She has opened her door to all of the young ladies and I think it's a wonderful thing that she does and I truly believe that deserves all the recognition in the world.

She is an outstanding leader, nurse, and an outstanding humanitarian. She is one of the most loving people with whom I am proud to work.
