One day Hrudhya asked me why I did not take meals, I told her I was fed up with the hospital food. The next day she brought homemade food for me which makes me very happy.
Ms. Hrudhya is so kind, has patience, has a comforting nature and always she is checking on me, asking me about my well-being, and making sure that I am ok and comfortable. I have never seen a nurse as compassionate as her. I was admitted in AKH with a creatine level of 1700 and urea of 58. I was not cooperating with the kidney doctor's plan for putting a dialysis catheter. Really, I was in between the devil and the sea. I was so depressed, I planned to be discharged against medical advice and take herbal treatment in India instead.
At that time, I saw Sr. Hrudhya who was in the morning round with the Kidney Doctor. After the round finished, she explained to me the complication of refusing dialysis, she explained about the permanent catheter insertion procedure and the AV fistula, she focused on the benefits of performing dialysis, which could save my life, like what happened with my own sister. That day I went against medical advice and when I reached home her words and honesty touched my mind. I got re-admitted only because of her warm words, after doing dialysis the creatinine level decreased to one-third. I am willing to do a fistula procedure as she explained about that also. I can see the positive effects on me from that day she was assigned for me.
She made my food warm without telling me when I came after the dialysis in the late evening. She gave educational pamphlets about managing renal disease and AV fistula. One day she asked me why I did not take meals, I told her I was fed up with the hospital food. The next day she brought homemade food for me which makes me very happy. Finally, AV fistula was created because of her moral support. In this busy world, nobody cares about others, but I am thankful to her as she showed empathy towards me. This is my second life because of her. I wish her all the success in her future life.
