Her confidence. Her calmness during this scary time was amazing.
Everyone knows that to be in a hospital is a scary thought (except if you're giving birth). I went in for a procedure and to stay overnight to watch me. Tuesday morning shift comes on and it's Lynn. This smiley face full of laughter woman comes in to introduce herself. We talked a bit; said let us get things moving to send you home. As promised, 10:00 am was to be my discharge time. My husband walks into my room and within 5 seconds, I knew something was wrong. Lynn came running in immediately, put pressure on what I now know was a hematoma the size of a tennis ball. While doing this she was taking a thousand phone calls from a vascular person but talking to me with a smile, telling me I’m ok. Her confidence. Her calmness during this scary time was amazing. When a much “larger” doctor came in to put pressure on the hematoma, she let me “break her fingers” to give me an outlet for the pain. I was put on complete bed rest for the next 6 ½ hours. Lynn kept popping in to see me with a smile. She came to say goodbye before her shift ended. Lynn is a beacon of light. Outstanding woman, extraordinary woman, compassionate woman. Lynn knows what she’s talking about.
