I was admitted to ProMedica Toledo Hospital for surgery. During my 7 inpatient days here, there were things that happened totally unexpectedly to my wife and me. Between the high BP, a-fib, and the new wound, I was feeling very anxious. I had at least 8 different nurses during my days and nights here. The nurse that we felt should be recognized was Ross Reid. Although we knew he always had other patients, he never made us feel rushed. He had a calming, controlled demeanor, and with my stress he was perfect. As my wife learned to pack my wound, his competence gave her the experience she needed to master a new unexpected task with ease. Ross has a way of putting things into perspective, reassuring you and assuring you it will be ok. His knowledge and compassion to help you understand were outstanding.
