My mother recently had hip surgery. Nelly was assigned as her primary nurse. Words cannot express the great care she gave to my mother. She continually went above and beyond the call of duty. She exceeded all of my mother's expectations and the expectations of our family.

Nelly was wonderful - she took the time necessary to provide great care and most importantly expressed love to a complete stranger. Wow! I cannot think of a better nurse than Nelly. She was wonderful in so many ways. She made my mother feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. Her words of compassion helped my mother heal. She made my mom feel welcome, inviting, and most importantly loved and cared for. Handled a difficult roommate next to my mom, but Nelly knew how to make my mother feel relaxed. She also suspected my mother may have a sleep apnea problem, talk about going above and beyond the call of duty! She did not "play doctor'' she cared and was looking out for my mother. I am following up on this issue.

Nelly understood that my mom did not hear well and spoke broken English; however, she broke through those impediments with universal actions of love. I could go on and on about how great Nelly is. She is the epitome of what a great nurse should be. She is a loving caregiver that is selfless and goes above and beyond the call of duty. My mother was in tears when she left the hospital all because Nelly cared and loved her.
