My husband was recently admitted and spent a day and a half on the progressive care unit. While all the staff on that unit were amazing, one nurse, in particular, stood out. Krista was always amazing. My husband is a bariatric patient and weighed over 700 lbs. which brought its own unique challenges. Krista never made him feel sensitive about that and was always quick to jump in and help with his care. She always had us laughing and cracking up making jokes with us every time she came in the room to see us. My husband is horribly afraid of the hospital, but Krista’s personality honestly made him and us feel so comfortable that he was not stressed when we were on the progressive care unit. We were heartbroken when he was transferred off the unit due to him getting better because it meant we were leaving such a comfortable environment. Not only did she put him at ease with her bright and cheery personality, but she also went above and beyond for me being a visitor as well. I stayed with my husband 24/7 and whenever Krista was on duty, she always made sure I had anything that I needed. She always brought me a glass of water when she was checking on us and she frequently would just stop in the room to talk to us to make sure we were doing ok. I can tell you our time at RMH was made exponentially better by Krista.
