In this time of uncertainty and fear, Angie is always a calming force in the unit.
Angie has stepped up countless times to be in charge of our unit while it has been flooded with COVID patients. In this time of uncertainty and fear, Angie is always a calming force in the unit. She makes sure every nurse is okay and is always available to help. It is not unusual for Angie to have been in every single room in the unit before the end of the shift, making sure the patients are okay and helping out her staff everywhere she can. She has picked up multiple extra shifts because she can’t stand the thought of her coworkers struggling. This has been the hardest portion of most people’s careers thus far and Angie is a bright light in the unit every day that she is there. The doctors and APPs love working with her and everyone works harder and does more whenever she is in charge because it is the kind of example she sets.
