Rachel has been a nurse at Northwell for over 40 years. As a Pediatric Nephrology clinical and research nurse, she is the longest-standing member of our team. Despite her seniority, Rachel never delegates responsibility for the more challenging parts of the job – she consistently goes above and beyond her “fair share” of the work to provide the best care for our patients. She uses her expertise and experience to guide the rest of the team and is a mentor and role model for us. Rachel is also the person we can all go to for general work and life advice and will give her balanced and honest opinion of any situation. We are so lucky to have Rachel as part of our team, and she would be the perfect recipient for the DAISY Award. Rachel Frank is our blood pressure whisperer! She's so skilled at finding ways to help our pediatric patients feel at ease so we can get improved blood pressure readings. She always goes out of her way to make our patients happy. For example, she went to Target on her day off to buy our patients Christmas presents.
