Their support and camaraderie are astounding, as they have been the literal frontlines during this pandemic.
As EDs across the nation have experienced longer wait times, crowding, and staffing shortages – this team has remained dedicated to their patients. Their support and camaraderie are astounding, as they have been the literal frontlines during this pandemic. During these hard times, patients, families, and co-workers have said these kind words regarding our ED team members:

“Many days Christina is trusted with solid ICU assignments. Even with this full workload, she continues to assist her co-workers with their patients as well… Her nursing intuition never ceases to amaze us. She has saved many lives by advocating for her patients. She has a gift of using her gentle but mighty voice for the greater good of her patient. Many patients walk into our hospital; but, it is because of nurses like Christina that patients are able to walk out. This amazing nurse brings talent, dedication, and compassion to work every day.”

“Nurse Brittany provided great communication, bedside manner, and helped when I was most vulnerable. She has cared for our family before, and even though we are not regular patients, she remembered me…. She is so caring to her patients and their families. She spent so much time talking with us and explaining everything. We were so thankful to have her helping all of us…. I have a severe phobia of needles, Brittany was very patient and understanding. She is an amazing nurse, and made my experience better… She was always very polite and helpful. She was careful not to cause unnecessary pain and listened to any questions that I had.”

“Today I experienced a high-performance nurse. She was very compassionate and concerned… Allie was proficient, professional, and timely. She communicated well, and kept me informed of every procedure. She was swift to get my IV in, which is no small task. She administered my pain medicine which gave me much needed relief… From the moment she walked in she was amazing. She kept me calm and made a very scary situation seem ok. For someone going through an emergency, she was exactly what I needed. She did a wonderful job caring for me.”

“My husband and our son were seen in the ED after an accident. Eddie saw us quickly. His kind and professional skills sure calmed this anxious wife and mother. He used his years of service in nursing to look ahead for tests, assessments, and treatments for both of my boys. Eddie worked as a brilliant team member, talking with doctors and technicians for plans of care for my son and husband. There was no one in the ED waiting rooms when we arrived, then all of the rooms quickly filled and there were even patients in the waiting areas. This did not take away from Eddie’s attention to detail and observant assessments. Eddie truly went above and beyond using his expertise, attention to detail, humor, kindness, and efficacy all along.”

“Alexandria was a very attentive and caring nurse. She was very thorough in assessing my needs, down to supplying my daughter-in-law and me with warm blankets… Dad fell and found out he had broken his hip. She came and spent a lot of time answering all of our questions and even shared that she has had hip surgery. She was so sweet and made us feel much better about things… Great nurse, very friendly and professional… She made me feel comfortable in a genuine way. She checked in on us and make sure we were comfortable. A positive attitude and caring atmosphere are what she brings with her …Her bedside manner was impeccable. She answered questions and made sure we were comfortable during this difficult time… I have had the pleasure of being in Alexandra’s care twice. She is so caring, and even when super busy she listens intently…”

“Pam is very attentive to what is going on with the patients waiting in the ER. I brought my dad in for heart issues, etc. He is on 4 liters of oxygen 24/7. He was using his portable oxygen tank, and the battery got low. Pam was very quick to get a tank for dad so that there would not be any issues. Pam would let everyone know why there was a delay for rooms. She never got upset with questions being asked. Today my mom had to come in. Pam remembered us from 2 weeks earlier. She immediately went and got my dad an oxygen tank to conserve his battery. Pam kept us updated again. She is thoughtful, caring, and thinks ahead of the needs of the patient and family. She is efficient and went above and beyond for us. She has a very caring soul and heart. Thank you.”

“This individual has been an essential part of Baptist Montclair/Trinity/Grandview over the last 42 years. David genuinely cares for his patients and supports his co-workers. He can be seen throughout the hospital transporting patients, gathering supplies, delivering labs- all with a kind-hearted smile. David is attentive to detail and supports the team in any way he can. Words cannot express how thankful we are to have you, and will miss you dearly when you retire.”
