Sissy went ABOVE and beyond when she took it upon herself to find a new bike for a homeless patient. The patient was an assault victim and his bicycle was destroyed by his attackers. Sissy made phone calls to local charities to find the patient a new bike. Sissy was able to find a bike which she picked it up and delivered to the hospital so the patient would have it upon discharge.

Sissy is an amazing nurse. Her compassion and dedication to her patients know no limits. One time a Hispanic patient came to the hospital and the daughter, who was helping to translate, and additional family were so thankful for all the great care Sissy had done, they brought her a token of appreciation. Sissy was very emotional and touched by their gesture.

When my daughter was sick and needed surgery, Sissy called me into the break room and prayed with me, and was there for me in my time of need. Sissy is always asking nurses and the interdisciplinary team if they need help and does not complain no matter how crazy her day gets. She goes above and beyond with communicating with patients and their families.
