Teresa was never more than a phone call away.
During the response to the Covid pandemic, Teresa has led her team, and Temple Memorial, and clinics through a challenge none of us had ever experienced. Teresa led with a clear purpose, educating herself, her team, our leaders, and every department with the intent to keep staff safe while embarking on a new care model. Teresa taught us all how to take care of ourselves so we could take care of patients. She worked tirelessly to round w/facilities and hospital leaders to create covid units, to develop methods of preserving our PPE, donning and doffing appropriately, encouraging, supporting, teaching, and mentoring at all levels of the region.
Teresa was never more than a phone call away. She answered her phone 24/7, came in to help staff and providers with our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc patients. She reached out to others for ideas and recommendations and more often than not, we were far ahead of our colleagues. Teresa consistently puts the needs of our staff before those of her own. She mentored her team to be proactive, positive, and present during a time when there was so much uncertainty. I am so proud of Teresa and the way she leads herself and her team through this challenge. It is because of her efforts that we were able to quickly implement covid units and consistency and safety across the region. Teresa approached this challenge with a can-do attitude, she never settled, and drove an "In It Together" expectation.
