Two weeks after giving birth to my son, I found myself back in the OB ER due to an infection that had developed in my uterus. I was placed on the Mother & Baby floor awaiting a procedure and Marsha was my night nurse during my entire stay. All of the nurses at Lakeland Regional gave me such great care but Marsha truly went above and beyond. I was very sick and she did everything she could to help me rest and recover. When I had chills she would tuck me in with warm blankets. When I didn't have the strength to wash the breast pump parts, I would look over and see that Marsha had already done it. My phone was dying and she even went and found me a charger so my husband and I could communicate. We shared stories about our families and she even remembered my son from when he was born. She treated me like family and I will never forget the care she gave me during such a difficult time. She is the epitome of what a nurse should be and I know she is a blessing to all the patients in her care. I know she was a tremendous blessing to me.
