Lauren not only went above and beyond in the care provided, but she was also a true support to our family during our sessions of crying and venting.
My grandmother was involved in a car crash that left her in ICU on life support. During this time, Lauren was our main care nurse and was beyond amazing support to our family. She not only went above and beyond in the care provided, but she was also a true support to our family during our sessions of crying and venting. Five days after my grandmother was admitted was her birthday, Lauren even went above by making a Happy Birthday sign to hang in her room. After it became known that my grandmother would never come home off life support we made the decision to take her off and allow her to pass. She was there for us during the whole process making sure we had everything we needed. She stayed with my grandmother during her final rights as the priest got there before we arrived that day. She checked in with us constantly without being overbearing. I requested a printout of my grandmother's heartbeat and she provided multiples, even printing it several times to get a nice size and clear printout. Even on the way out she made sure we had collected everything, the candle and prayer card, the comfort blanket and my mom even kept the birthday sign she had made. We really could not have asked for anyone better to be with us through this difficult time. My family did speak with her during those days but I do hope she knows how amazing she was and how much comfort she provided.
