Dylan held my hand and calmed me down and explained to me that I was in the best place.
I went to the ED after falling at home and was admitted to Forbes with a UTI. I have MS. The resident in the ED told me I would never walk again. I was transferred to the rehab floor. Upon arrival I was upset and scared, crying hysterically. God sent Dylan to my room. He sat with me and I told him my story. He held my hand and calmed me down and explained to me that I was in the best place.
I know it takes a special kind of person to be a nurse. Dylan would check on me during my stay even if he was not my nurse for the day. Dylan would make sure I was doing well. He would come in and see how far I walked for the day. The rehab PT all wanted me to get better. Dylan was the best. He told me that we all work together as a team. He reinforced with me that I was in a good place. He said they will all take good care of you. Dylan also takes time out to encourage nursing students on the unit. He teaches them. Dylan is certainly in the right profession.
On my last day in rebab, Dylan came in to see me and say goodbye. When I met Dylan I was giving up, when I left I was stronger! When I left the hospital I was walking 36-74 feet with a walker. I am very grateful for the wonderful support and kindness that Dylan provided during my stay.
