I have acted both as a nurse and now a nurse practitioner with the Warren and Madison Heights emergency departments. Throughout those years, I have met many nurses and providers that are excellent but very few that I have felt the need to personally recognize as exceptional. Nicole is different. I have witnessed her practice with an unprejudiced passion that is matched by very few. Her intuition and drive to advocate for her patients are embodied in her willingness to confront other aspects of the healthcare team when her concerns for her patients are not being adequately addressed to her standards. All of our nurses are valuable beyond measure, however, those who fiercely protect the core values on which the nursing profession is based are genuine treasures to be recognized. Nicole is one of those RNs and will hopefully remain an asset to this facility and her patients for many years to come.
