Patti Hope joined the IU Health team initially in a staff augmentation role to help support the Clinical Informatics team. Her responsibilities grew to take on a leadership role as the West Central Region team completed “Refresh Sessions” to help retrain clinical end users after an Epic-to-Cerner conversion the year prior. She collaborated closely with the client and Cerner team to develop a training plan, organize resources, lead and/or support the onsite events, provide feedback and guidance both to the end users and the informaticists, and collect and organize the follow ups. She also led the efforts to analyze and organize data into a meaningful summary highlighting the feedback and improvements realized in the efficiency and satisfaction of those who participated.

Patti has exemplified teamwork, leadership, and a true passion for informatics nursing. She quickly became a trusted resource for IU Health and the embedded Cerner team through her dedication, insightfulness, and dependability. She continuously offered solutions to solve challenges she observed both within the clinical workflows as well as with the structure of the informatics team at IU Health.

While we have many wonderful things to say about Patti, it’s even more meaningful coming from the client. This client has since requested to extend Patti’s engagement to support two additional projects that will impact clinical end users and grow the informatics team. She has been a wonderful asset and we are extremely thankful to have her engaged with this client.
